Heat pumps and ventilation

Warm homes without gas, calculated before we quote.

Lumora installs heat pumps and balanced ventilation in homes and small businesses. We calculate every building first: its insulation, its heat loss and its airflow. Only then do you get a quote.

Heat pumps that suit the house you have

An older house and a heat pump can work well together, as long as you know where the heat goes. We start with the building, not with a catalogue.

Homes

Air to water heat pumps

For houses that want to leave the gas boiler behind. We check the roof, the walls and the radiators first, and tell you honestly what to do before the pump.

Homes and offices

Balanced ventilation (system D)

Fresh air in every room and the heat of the outgoing air kept inside. We plan the ducts with the rest of the renovation, so nothing has to be broken open twice.

Businesses

Small business buildings

For companies with a building of their own: the whole building calculated, one plan for heating, cooling and air, and one point of contact.

How we work

Four steps, always in this order. The calculation comes before the price, because a heat pump that is too big or too small costs you for years.

  1. Home visit

We walk through the building with you and note what is there today.

  2. Calculation

Heat loss per room, airflow and the power the building really needs.

  3. Quote

One clear proposal, with what we advise and why.

  4. Installation

Our own team installs it, sets it up and comes back to check it after the first winter.

Who we work for

Most of our work comes from three kinds of clients.

Owners of an older home

They want to leave gas behind, but are not sure a heat pump works without insulating everything first.

Contractors and architects

They need an installer who keeps to the schedule and delivers the paperwork for the energy performance file.

Small businesses with their own building

They want a lower energy bill and someone who looks at the whole building, not one machine.

Questions we hear every week

Does a heat pump work in a house from the seventies?

Often it does, when the roof is insulated first and the radiators can deliver enough heat at a lower water temperature. The calculation tells you which of the two needs work.

Do I need system D ventilation with a heat pump?

Not always. In a house that becomes airtight after a renovation, balanced ventilation keeps the air healthy and keeps the heat inside. We tell you when it makes sense.

Can you help with the renovation premium?

We prepare the technical documents a premium application asks for. The application itself stays in your name.

How long does an installation take?

It depends on the building. You get a planning with the quote, and we keep to it.

From our blog

Why a heat pump often works in an older house

Calculate first, choose second: the roof, the radiators and the water temperature.

Three mistakes when installing ventilation

Ducts planned last, a unit chosen too early, and the forgotten filters.

Heating a small business building without guesswork

One calculation for the whole building, and one point of contact.
